Gore Court @ Tri-Angular Tournament 1

Gore Court's Under 12's took part in a tri-angular tournament at Bromley on Sunday against sides from Bromley & Beckenham and Marden. Considering it was their first outing, the boys performed superbly well defeating Marden A 3-2, Marden B 4-0, Bromley B 1-0 and held to a 1-1 draw against a very strong Brom/Beck A side. Josh Ollerinshaw showed fantastic skill on the right wing and Joseph Eves and Patrick Brooksons' tireless running in midfield gave centre forward Jack Springfield plenty of opportunites. Indeed, Jack ended the tournament as top scorer with 5 goals. Full backs Harry Mays and Ryan Kelly worked hard to snuff out any opposition attacks and keeper Sam Davison did the rest. All in all, a very promising start. Gore Court's long term future would seem to be in safe hands!

Gore Court @ Tri-Angular Tournament 2

Gore Court's Under 12s took part in a tri-angular tournament at Westlands on Sunday against sides from Canterbury and Folkestone. The boys opened their account with a comprehensive 4 - 0 win against Canterbury B with Jack Streatfield and Patrick Brookson sharing the goals. Despite a strong performance against National age group winners Canterbury A, the boys lost 3 -1 but bounced back strongly with further wins against Folkestone (2 - 0), both goals coming from winger Josh Ollerenshaw, and Canterbury C (3 - 0). Joseph Eves' tireless running in midfield provided the forwards with plenty of opportunites with defenders Ryan Kelly, Noah Hatchwell, Luke Huckle and Harry Mays repelling opposition attacks and keeper Sam Davison doing the rest. All in all, a fantastic performance with plenty of promise for the future.

Gore Court @ Tri-Angular Tournament 3

Gore Court’s Under 12s entertained sides from Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells in a Tri-Angular Tournament at Westlands on Sunday. The first two games saw comfortable victories for Gore Court as they overcame Sevenoaks A and B by 1 – 0 and 2 – 0 respectively with Patrick Brookson (2) and Josh Ollerenshaw (1) grabbing the goals. However, the next two games against robust and determined Tunbride Wells sides were a different story. A 1 -1 draw against Wells B was secured largely thanks to Joseph Eves and Jack Streatfield tireless work in midfield and despite a fine rearguard action by the Court defence and outstanding keeping from Sam Davison, Wells A ran out 2 -1 winners with their second goal coming from the very last hit of the game. Court’s future looks bright if these lads’ effort and enthusiasm is anything to go by!
