Basildon took advantage of Gore Court's lack of intensity and scored 2 before half time from set play.
The second half saw Gore Court fight back, it looked like a new team had come on to the pitch and this effort enabled Gore Court to draw level with two great goals off the keepers pads from Jenny Francis and Lucy Owen. Both sides were pushing for that third goal and unfortunately for Gore Court their attacking play meant the defence was left exposed and Basildon scored a third. Gore Court never gave up and had numerous opportunities to equalise but strong keeping from Basildon meant the final score was 3-2. A great performance in the second half but Gore Court has to concentrate on playing like this from the starting whistle.
SEVENOAKS 1 - 0 GORE COURT
Gore Court faced Sevenoaks away this week. With continued injury, their 2nd team players had to step up to the mark. With a great team effort in the first half and several attacking short corners the two teams looked fairly evenly matched.
After some heavy pressure from Sevenoaks at the beginning of the second half the defence held strong until a very unfortunate umpiring decision led to Sevenoaks scoring the only goal of the game.
