Gore Court 3 - 2 Dartford

Gore Court were looking for a good start to the season but slow play saw them trailing by two goals after 10 minutes.  However Gore Court rallied and soon were playing excellent team hockey and were awarded a series of short corners, one of which was converted by Ann Hodnett. Shortly after another corner was converted by Lucy Owen right on half time.

Both teams came out fighting from the break but Gore Court were the stronger and scored again through Leah Miller within 5 minutes.  Tensions rose but Gore Court managed to hold on despite having several players out of position and tired from previous games.

An excellent start which Gore Court wish to continue.

Bromley & Beckenham 0 - 1 Gore Court

Gore Court were looking to continue on their winning ways this week. Excellent team play saw the team battle hard throughout with several players playing out of position.  Finally court took the lead through Lucy Owen and manage to hold on till the end for another fine win.

Cliftonville 3 - 3 Gore Court

Gore Court started well and played excellent hockey fielding a side with lots of younger players and again those playing out of position.  Its was a hard fought game with Gore Court having lots of possession. A series of short corners led to Ann Hodnett converting one to take the lead, however Cliftonville hit back. Just before half time Hodnett scored again with Cliftonville fighting back hard to equalise.  This battle continued with Hodnett getting a 3rd goal for her hat-trick but once again Cliftonville equalised.  As the last few minutes completed, court had several chances just miss the post and Sarah Bodiam was yellow carded (naughty naughty) but neither team could get the winning goal.

It was a good result and the season continues well despite player issues.

GORE COURT 7 - 1 DEAL

Gore Court were hoping to build on a great performance from the week before and they didn’t disappoint. From the start Gore Court looked the stronger side and opened the scoring through Sarah Owen at a short corner. Further goals from Lucy Owen and Leah Miller followed so court led 3-0 by half time. Gore Court came out strongly in the second half and soon had increased the score via goals from Sian Burrows and Ann Hodnett. Slack defending allowed Deal to get a consolation goal before Leah Miller added a further two goals to her tally and the score ended 7-1 in courts favour after a fantastic team game.  This saw Gore Court climb from 8th to 4th in the league.
