I am thrilled to share my testimonial about Gore Court Hockey Club, where my family and I have been playing together for quite some time now. Nick (Dad) of Harry (14), Toby(12), Theodore(8), and Edith(5) have all found a home in this wonderful club.
The Gore Court Hockey Club has been an incredible addition to our community in Sittingbourne. It's not just a place where we come to play hockey; it's a place where we feel like we belong. The club has brought our family closer together, and we have made many new friends along the way.
Nick and Harry both play together for the Gore Court 4s, along with other family members and their children. It's a great way for us to spend quality time together, doing something we all love. We have all improved our skills and fitness levels, and it's been fantastic to see the kids develop their hockey skills.
Overall, I can't speak highly enough of Gore Court Hockey Club. It's a fantastic club that has brought so much joy and happiness to our family and the Sittingbourne community. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it and look forward to many more years of playing together.
When my son joined GCHC last September he was welcomed and encouraged by coaches, support team, players and parents alike. GCHC is a fun and friendly family club that nurtures the passion and enthusiasm in Juniors to promote technical development. Every week my son is excited to play and learn. The opportunity to play in monthly tournaments around Kent is fantastic, the team gelled brilliantly under the caring guidance of the coaches to achieve fantastic results, and most importantly enjoy the matches, come rain, wind or sun!
The number of friends who have since joined the club is testament to our incredible experience. GCHC hosting our Beaver, Cub and Scout group was a highlight to our first year with the club, and we look forward to the new season. We highly recommend GCHC for junior hockey, come and join us!
I first started playing at Gore Court when I was 11, convinced to come along and join in the U13s side. A few friends from school were already playing at the club (one being Emma Elgar, 1st XI striker) so I went along and completely fell in love with the sport at the club.
I stayed at Gore Court until I left for University at 18 - years of Sunday morning junior training and adult hockey matches on Saturdays gave me the opportunity to go and play at higher levels. This was thanks to the many coaches who supported me - many of whom are still at the club and coaching regularly.
It wasn’t until I had my twin boys (Theodore and James, who have just started playing hockey and loving the sessions on Sunday mornings!) in 2018 that I decided I needed a break from the sport. A few seasons off, and I found myself back at Gore Court. The club have been incredibly welcoming and I have loved every minute of being back on the pitch.
I can’t recommend the club enough - if you’re a returning player, someone new to the sport, or looking for a positive and welcoming club - come to Gore Court.
