Junior Hockey Information

Junior Hockey with Gore court is fun, friendly and an exciting way for children to take part in team sports. Not only do we work on hockey skills we ensure that life skills are built for the future. Training sessions are every Sunday morning at Westlands Secondary School in Sittingbourne with England Hockey Qualified and DBS checked Coaches. The pitch is designed in a way that parents can easily spectate from up close. We take pride in ensuring children have as much fun as possible at training and tournaments with a relaxed and welcoming environment. We cater for both boys and girls and operate mixed teams for Under 8s and then boys and girls teams for U10s, U12s, U14 and U16.

Training Session Times and Costs

Ages 4 through to 10 as of 1st of September – 0930-1030 – £3.00

Ages 10 through to 16 as of 1st of September – 1030-1200 – £3.50

Training sessions run from the first Sunday in September through to the last Sunday in May.

NEW FOR 2024/25 Season we will be running Junior Skills sessions. These will run on a Tuesday evening from 1900-2000 for all Under 10s and Under 12s. These will be £3.00 per session attended.

Equipment Requirements

We can provide Hockey Sticks for juniors to start of and use on a weekly basis and ask for all juniors to wear a gum shield and shin pads at all training sessions, tournaments and matches. Tournaments and Fixtures

As a club we enter teams across all age groups into tournaments and fixtures. Age group tournaments are held once per month for ages U8, U10 and U12 and fixtures are held for U14 and U16 teams through out the season. There is no obligation for children to participate in tournaments and fixtures.
