K Sports 4XI 1:1 Gore Court 5XI
Gore Court 5XI started their season with a solid 1-1 draw against K Sports 4XI away in Aylesford. Two evenly matched sides consisting of mostly younger players with a handful of more experienced ones battled away with few chances created by both sides. K Sports took the lead after their right half crossed the ball to the far post for their striker to score at the far post.
In the second half, Court’s keeper Kieran Hudson kept them in the game with some fine saves. A Court counter break saw the ball find its way to Dale Marsh who slammed the ball past the K Sports’ keeper. Graham Carter made a fine debut for Gore Court earning himself man of the match for the game which ultimately ended in a well-earned draw.

Gore Court 5XI 0:6 Maidstone 5XI
Gore Court 5XI suffered a 6-0 loss at home to Maidstone 5XI in their first game on the newly laid astroturf at Westlands. Court started well but soon suffered a facial injury to Graham Carter after a collision which resulted in him being taken to the Memorial for some repair work leaving the defence more exposed than planned. Maidstone made the most of this and started to score quite freely. As Gore Court began to push forward more space was left open for Maidstone to exploit which led to the heavy loss. Next week is the home fixture against their local rivals.
