Gore Court Hockey club make training and development of our members fun while promoting family and friendship for life. The club has been in existence since 1908 and strongly believe the participation in team sports improves self esteem, mental discipline and social skills. We pride ourselves in being on the front foot and knowing that sport in general has a positive effect on peoples metal health and team sports are even more impactful towards this promoting a healthy well being. The club has always endeavoured and succeeded in promoting junior hockey and offering a thriving junior programme for young people and progression into the clubs adult sections and further forward in their hockey journey.
Sponsorship of a grassroots sports delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising allowing your business to become involved directly and in-directly in activities that are highly valued by local consumers. Consumers are known to form positive links with businesses that support and aid development of of grass roots sport that support and contribute to local community. By directly supporting us your are helping remove economic barriers making sport inclusive and accessible for all.
The club has a long standing positive reputation within the Swale community and are continuing the positive work working with our 300+ members both new and old and the wider community in Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Faversham. We operated 5 men’s teams, 3 Ladies teams and junior teams from under 8s through to under 16s all competing and involved in organised events across Kent and the South East of England. As a club we are aspiring to increase membership, match day crowds, improve facilities including a newly laid pitch in 2023 and expand our audience in the wider community involvement and social media presence.
