South Saxons 1:4 Gore Court 1XI
Gore Court travelled away to south Saxons, the first game in blue and gold for a number of players.
Court opened play with an early reverse goal at a tight angle from Jim Davies on his GCHC league debut.
Followed shortly by a second, slipped to Aaron Glass for an early 2:0 lead.
After a spell of South Saxons attacks and several short corners, all defended well by GCHC, an opportunity arrived on the break allowing Jim Davies to flick a second past the south Saxons keeper, making that two goals for his debut before half time.
Half time saw South Saxons rework their press and put GC under pressure. South Saxons were rewarded with a goal whilst GC were down to 10 as a result of some questionable tackling.
After regaining their composure, a short corner, won by Harrison Reynolds, was fired home by Aaron glass to leave the final score 4:1

Gore Court 1XI 4:1 Burnt Ash 1XI
Gore Court went into the game against Burnt Ash wanting to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
The game started quickly with Gore Court grabbing control of the game from the offset. This set the tone for the majority of the game. With some slick play in midfield, it wasn’t long before Gore Court were testing, the normally very good, Burnt Ash keeper. A number of vital saves by the keeper made Gore Court believe this was going to be one of those days. Mid way through the first half however Gore Court broke the deadlock with a vicious reverse stick shot from Brendan Hogwood. It was later followed by a tidy finish by Jim Davies who delicately hit the ball over the oncoming keeper.
Burnt Ash came out of the traps in the second half with a point to prove and soon applied the pressure to the Gore Court backline. Soaking up the pressure allowed Court to hit Burnt Ash on the counter attack and goals by Jim Davies again and a magnificent finish into the top corner by Will Reynolds ended any hopes of a Burnt Ash come back. The game however was marred late into the second half when the Court keeper received a straight red card for foul play. This resulted in Burnt Ash getting their consolation goal and Court still searching for that illusive clean sheet they were so fond off in pre-season.
