The Men’s Vets finished second in the Kent Vets’ Cup after a rousing performance against Canterbury Vets. Canterbury were three goals to nil up within the first fifteen minutes and looked as though they would go on to record a high score but after a robust half-time team talk from Gore Court captain Paul Birch they managed to claw their way back to 3-3 with a few minutes to go with a hat-trick of drag flick goals from Aaron Glass. With the game looking as though it would go to penalty flicks Canterbury were awarded a short corner on full time which they converted so the score finished 4-3 to Canterbury.
